Quest 3.0 Canigou

Quest 3.0 Canigou

Challenge

The men’s treks consist of a series of three Quest treks that can be done over a period of three years. Each subsequent journey is more challenging physically, spiritually and in preparation. During the Quest there is daily quiet time and there is an introduction or testimony based on a daily theme.  Men will work personally with stimulating questions.

KM Quest 3.0

This is the journey of all journeys and is one day longer. You can only participate in this trip if you have done KM Quest 2.0.

This trip is about willpower and leadership. We climb to the top of the Canigou, 2800 metres. No climbing ropes are needed for this, but you do need physical preparation. Your fitness level and condition of your equipment must be in order because you will be walking a total of about 50 km with a rucksack. The preparations for this trek start five months in advance, so timely registration is necessary. This is a trek where you will not only reach physical summits, but also discover new summits in your own life. If your equipment is not in proper order or if you have not prepared for the trek appropriately, you will not be allowed to go to the summit.

Canigou

Our starting point is the more than 1000 year old abbey of Saint Martin du Canigou in Casteil (France), which is inhabited by a young religious community “Les Béatitudes”. They live off donations from, among others, the more than 10,000 tourists they receive each year in this special place. Furthermore, their life consists of prayer. For this, they meet three times a day and individually spend time in silence. Our programme is adapted to the prayer times of this community.
